Ragroof Theatre host stylish afternoon tea dances for all ages and experiences. Come and trip the light fantastic to the sounds of the roaring 20s, 30s & 40s…
Ragroof Theatre create an authentic and diverse range of entertainment, including dance displays, ballroom dance classes and, of course, tea and cakes. The events are designed to appeal to all ages and abilities and have proved to be extremely popular as a result.
The traditional tea dance is a fabulous and unique social phenomenon and yet there is a danger that with the passing of time we may lose this national treasure. Ragroof Theatre feels that partner dancing is a sublime and beautiful artform which may disappear if our and subsequent generations do nothing to preserve it. To this end the company has been hosting tea dances at various venues all over the UK and Ireland since 2005. Highlights include lavish tea dances in the fabulous Spiegeltents at the Brighton, Dublin and Edinburgh festivals.

bring back the dance music of the 1940 & 50s with their slick quiffs, sharp
suits, swingin’ hips and high heels. Crowned by the rich soulful voice
of Dale de Ville, the Fat 45s play jump jive, swing and rhythm & blues,
setting the dance floors alight wherever they go – guaranteed to make
