Welcome to the home of Ragroof Theatre, a company specialising in site-specific performance that engages and collaborates with the communities in which productions are realised. A team of diverse performers and artists bring you unusual outdoor theatre, as well as tea dances in London and Brighton.
Our present touring work (‘Shall we Dance?’, ‘Make Do and Mend’ and ‘The Button Museum’) celebrates the dance hall era and the joys of partner dancing, and includes work based on the wartime memories and reminiscences of people over the age of 70.
We have always wanted to make theatre in unusual spaces, believing in the added dimension that this gives our work. From our first show made in a Citroën 2CV, we came to be called Ragroof Theatre.
